Toy Fair NYC
Wheatware had a booth at the Toy Fair for four days where Wheatware introduced the Wheatware Yo-Yo, drumsticks for electronic drum sets and guitar picks to the Toy industry. It was a great success and there were many new opportunities generated at the show for existing products and new product lines.

NAMM Trade Show Anaheim, CA
Wheatware had a booth at the trade show for four days where Wheatware handed out thousands of guitar picks to show attendees to promote the brand and introduced the Saxophone Reed which will be available in coming months for sale. Wheatware added new stores and there was great interest in new distribution in the US and in 11 more countries than where Wheatware currently sells to.

Malibu Beauty Pageant
The Miss Malibu Organization held its 5th annual pageant on Sunday, August 23rd with strong support from the Malibu community and several notable media personalities in attendance.
Guests were treated to an array of delectable tastes, and live entertainment. Distinguished judges for the event included GRAMMY Award winning music star and actor Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, Reality TV Star Khloe Kardashian, Elisabeth Röhm (Law and Order, Miss Congeniality 2), Marnie Saitta (Days of Our Lives Head Casting Director), Shaun Toub (Iron Man) and Timothy Durham (CEO, National Lampoon). Wheatware donated product for the food services and meanwhile guests previewed products which are available at wheatware.com. Wheatware was well received covered by numerous press and media. New product development came out of this event.

Ludacris Foundation Fundraiser
Ludacris Foundation held a fundraiser in Malibu where Wheatware donated food service products for the food services for over 1,000 guests and celebrities, who gained an opportunity to preview the products sold at www.wheatware.com. Attendees were delighted with the products.
The Ludacris Foundation is a non-profit Atlanta-based organization that serves as Ludacris' vision to use music and the arts to connect with urban youth and provide a roadmap for them to achieve their dreams and has positively impacted millions of lives. New Wheatware product development came out of this fundraiser.

NAMM Trade Show Nashville, TN
Wheatware had a booth at the trade show for three days. Warren Kirsch spoke at the “State of the Industry” address interviewed by CEO of NAMM Joe Lamond on Friday morning prior to the start of the trade show. The interview was so well received and successful that the Wheatware booth was thereafter filled with store buyers interested in carrying Wheatware music products. Wheatware added the highest number of stores than any tradeshow to date.

51st Annual Grammy Awards
Music’s hottest celebrities at the 51st Grammy Awards enjoyed Wheatware at the official gifting suite. Some the VIPs at the event included Sir Paul McCartney, Jennifer Hudson, U2 and more. This event was part of widespread introduction of Wheatware products to the movers and shakers of the music and entertainment industry.

The Opportunity Green 2008 was an innovative two-day conference held in partnership with UCLA Anderson School of Management that focuses on developing partnerships for a sustainable future. Sundance Film Festival 08: Wheatware™ featured at the Harmony Project Launch Party.
The brightest minds of the scientific community, together with the most successful and respected members of the filmmaking, literary and new media community, were brought together during the Sundance Film Festival as part of the Harmony project. Founder John Johnson put together an executive committee for the Harmony Project, which includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones, Orlando Bloom, Ridley Scott, Giannina Facio, Penelope Cruz, Arianna Huffington, Kelley Meyer, and Ted Hope, among many other notables in the science and film community. Wheatware™ hangers were used in the closets, while Wheatware™ coasters were to be found in the kitchen and cofee tables. The hundreds of guest delighted in using WheatwareTM flatware for their specially prepared gourmet salads. WheatwareTM representatives introduced guests to the possibilities of using wheat resin to replace wood and plastic products to help save earths virgin forest and reduce USA reliance on petroleum.
The WIRED Livinghome is where green plugs in. LEED® certified and designed by Ray Kappe, FAIA, the house is manufactured in the factory to reduce cost and waste. 2007 Youth Leadership Initiative, Environmental Professional Recruitment (Los Angeles, CA)
The Golden State Environmental Education Consortium’s (GSEEC), in partnership with the California Conservation Corps. and Green Ambassadors hosted its third youth leadership clinic entitled "Be Cool Be Green" in the greater Los Angeles area at the Metropolitan Water District at 700 N. Alameda Street in downtown LA.
To support their commitment to the environment, Wheatware™ donated cutlery and hangers for the event to show these youth that there are alternatives to plastic and wood and that they can make a difference. The youth were in awe of hangers and excited about what Wheatware™ can bring to the world with their support and action.

Awaiting the musicians in their dressing rooms was something they had likely never seen before: biodegradable-compostable drumsticks, guitar picks, hangers and more, made using wheat. June 29th, 2007 The Carson Palmer Open (Monarch Beach Golf Course, Dana Point, CA)
On June 29th at the St. Regis in Dana Point, CA, the 4th Annual Carson Palmer Golf Event raised money for Hillview Acres. Participating in the event were the NFL greats: Quarterback Carson Palmer (Bengals), Jonathan Ogden (Ravens), Todd Heap (Ravens), John Lynch (Broncos), Todd Steussie (Rams) and many other up and coming NFL players such as Matt Cassel, Kyle Boller, Frostee Rucker, Shaun Cody and Rich Icognito. Also, playing the tournament were approximately 120 other executives who donated $1,000 each to play in the tournament benefiting Hillview Acres, which provides shelter and support for homeless children and young mothers.
On hole 16, each athlete and participant was personally greeted by Wheatware V.P. of Business Development, Daniel O’Hara, and given a Wheatware™ Golf Combo Pack. Many viewed the wide variety of Wheatware™ Chopsticks, Hangers, Music Products, Cutlery and Hangers and learned about the company's mission to save virgin forests. Then each participant had an opportunity to tee off with a Wheatware™ Golf Tee. Many participants commented on how much they enjoyed the performance of the Wheatware™ golf tee.

June 3rd, 2007 - The Raven Drum Foundation, (Thousand Oaks, CA)
This event benefited the Raven Drum Foundation, whose goal is to provide assistance to inner-city youth to prevent violence. Wheatware™ drumsticks were donated to the Charity. The Drum Circle was led by founders Lauren Monroe and Rick Allen, drummer for Def Leppard, and was enjoyed by over 60 participants. With over 80,000 wood drumstick pairs per week manufactured by one company alone, Wheatware™ drumsticks were admired as a positive step for replacing drumsticks and saving forests.
June 3, 2007 - The Marshall Faulk Celebrity Golf Extravaganza, (St. Louis, Missouri).
This 11th Annual Marshall Faulk Celebrity Golf Extravaganza benefited the Marshall Faulk Foundation, whose goal is to provide assistance to inner-city youth organizations and underprivileged children. The Foundation has donated over $500,000 since joining the Rams in 1999.
Wheatware™ gift baskets were donated to be auctioned at the silent auction for the Charity. Each golfing participant received a Wheatware™ Golf Convenience Pack containing 15 standard golf tees, 10 extra long tees, 2 divot lifters, and 4 ball markers. Participants were impressed with Wheatware™ Products, and many people said they thought the PGA should make Wheatware™ Golf Tees mandatory.

Sold out 2 day event with 702 attendees, including 140 from the media. This LOHAS Forum focused top-level business leaders from Fortune 500, LOHAS companies, the entertainment industry, celebrities and non-profit organizations to understand how business, media and entertainment can be leveraged to educate, shape and influence consumer behavior and purchasing decisions promoting sustainable lifestyles, products and business models.
LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) describes a $228.9 billion U.S. marketplace for goods and services focused on health, the environment, social justice, personal development and sustainable living. Approximately 30 percent of the adults in the U.S., or 50 million people, are currently considered LOHAS Consumers.
Wheatware™ was represented by internationally renowned PR Company Christie Communications who presented a wide variety of products by Wheatware™ including bio-compostable and Bio-Mass-75 products used by musicians, golfer, fine restaurants, home and offices around the world.
